Or rather, my family’s first computer, The Tandy 1000 RSX.
This takes me back. The good old Tandy 1000 RSX, complete with a 386 processor and VGA graphics. With it I did homework, learned to program in Q-Basic, and played every shareware game I could get my hands on:
- PGA Tour Golf
- Commander Keen 4, 6 and Dreams
- Jazz Jackrabbit
- Jill of the Jungle
- Wolfenstein 3D
- Catacombs 3D
- Duke Nukem (pre 3D)
And the list goes on. I couldn’t get Doom to work on it, though. Needed a 486 for that one.
I believe it is still kicking around at my parent’s house. I may have to fire it up and play some golf.
