Morning Musume is a Japanese pop idol group where all the singers are hand picked by the record label. The difference between their pop singers and ours is that the Japanese pop stars are forced to compete in wacky challenges on tv. The most famous of these videos is the lizard challenge.
Bob and I watched quite a few of these over a lunch hour at work. I picked this one in particular since it also has Bob Sapp in it. You may recognize him as Switowski from The Longest Yard remake (“He broke-ded my nose”). He’s a wrester/martial artist and is insanely popular in Japan. He promotes a lot of products and appears on a lot of variety shows. And his name is Bob, so there you go. It works on two levels.
