And it’s 100% legal. Warner Bros is going to be releasing a large portion of their back catalog with their new service In2TV. It will use a proprietary file sharing system (based on Kontiki) to distribute shows like Welcome Back Kotter and The Fugitive. Each show will have 2 minutes of non-skippable commercials in them to keep it free (I give it a week before this is hacked).
This sounds a lot more appealing than 1.99 per show. However, it will be older content and you won’t have access to entire series all at once. Episodes of each show will be rotated in and out of availability.
Hopefully this will encourage other TV Networks to do the same.
