With this firmware release, the PSP will finally have an integrated browser. Support for new file types will also be included and videos from the memory stick will now be able to fill the entire screen. In Japan, they will also be experimenting with streaming and downloading tv shows directly to PSP.
Those are all great features but I’m still on the fence about downloading it. If I do, then I won’t be able to use the current hacks to enable game emulation on the PSP. I would like to try to play my old Coleco games (which I own the cartridges to) on the PSP and if I install the update, I won’t be able to. But if they start streaming tv to PSPs here, I’m definitely downloading it.
